Coping with memory impairment means coping with physical, mental and emotional challenges. Our treatment programs use the latest methods for overcoming these obstacles. Through a proper understanding of dementia, much can be done to lessen the effects on the individual and maximize a person’s ability to enjoy life and maintain physical health.
Our programs are based on creating an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and caring to help residents deal with both cognitive and physical impairments. Rather than promoting task-oriented programs, we focus on a person-centered approach to dementia care. This means using validation techniques and questions, rather than statements. Involving the residents in their care and decisions helps them contribute in meaningful ways to their daily routine.
We also offer a full schedule of social, recreational, and spiritual activities. We have lots of fun while accomplishing important goals!
